Job Summary
This HVAC Sr Tech is responsible for maintaining, installing, moving, and repairing specialized equipment, including heating and air conditioning, ventilators, ice machines, and production chillers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain, install, move, troubleshoot, and repair all related HVAC equipment.
Maintains inventory of filters and refrigerant.
Responds to heating and cooling problems, repair as necessary.
Inform supervisor when repairs need to be made by outside vendor or when equipment needs to be replaced.
Performed related duties or projects as assigned.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance.
Operates all hand tools, HVA equipment, electrical tools, and an electrical measuring instrument.

Expected Areas of Competence
i.e. knowledge, skills, and abilities
Must be able to operate, troubleshoot, and repair the energy management system and the clean room monitoring systems.
Advanced knowledge of HVAC equipment.
Advanced knowledge of general maintenance procedures, including electrical.
Advanced knowledge of proper procurement procedures.
Must demonstrated knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
Must be capable of analyzing machine problems, disassembled machines, and repair as necessary.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds or more work in difficult positions at various heights.
Education Experience Requirements
High school diploma or GED with 8 years of work experience in commercial electrical and HVAC work or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have successfully completed formal training programs on HVAC operations. Documentation or certificates would be required.
