Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Sheet Metal Project Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC sheet metal fabrication and installation projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and complete HVAC sheet metal estimates for fabrication and installation projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs for sheet metal, equipment, and accessories
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents
- Determine project scope of work and required estimate components
- Develop detailed labor and material cost estimates
- Prepare and manage change orders based on revised mechanical/shop drawings
- Maintain organized files of all working documents, including pricing from suppliers and cost data
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and vendors
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-5+ years of sheet metal estimating experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and sheet metal fabrication
- Proven ability to prepare accurate and complete estimates
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong negotiation and leadership abilities
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
