THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN - INSTALLER

THE SCHEDULE:

Standard hours are 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an on-call schedule and overtime available.

YOUR ROLE:

You'll travel to homes throughout the area to complete the top-notch repair, diagnostic, and installation services we're known for! Armed with your tools and a professional, "can-do" attitude, you'll perform hands-on work, prepare accurate job records, and deliver quality customer service. Every day brings something different, but you can expect to:

• Properly install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and related components (i.e., ductwork, wiring, control systems, furnaces, heat pumps, etc.)
• Follow blueprints, diagrams, building codes, and manufacturer specs during installation
• Start up and test newly installed systems
• Assess existing systems to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system problems
• Replace worn/defective parts, including motors, compressors, fans, sensors, thermostats, etc.
• Locate and repair refrigerant leaks
• Clearly explain repair needs/service options to homeowners, provide cost estimates, and educate them on system usage and maintenance
• Prepare and submit service records, work orders, and installation reports
• Coordinate with contractors, construction teams, and/or supervisors to ensure efficient service

HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN - INSTALLER REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and work in areas such as attics, rooftops, and confined spaces
• Ability to safely and accurately use power tools and diagnostic tools
• Ability to stay up-to-date with new HVAC technology, regulations, and industry changes
• Ability to complete accurate documentation, maintain your tools, and keep your service vehicle in good condition
• Diagnostic skills and a customer service mindset
