Overview
Cowboy Cooling has been proudly serving the DFW area for over 30 years, offering residential and light commercial service, maintenance, and installation. We are rapidly growing and seeking an experienced technician to support growth. This opportunity includes direct communication with the leaders and owners of the business with a clear path to increased responsibilities, direct reports, and compensation. We operate with a flat structure where your ideas are heard, and we maintain a strong sense of camaraderie and team support with a strong focus on training and development.
Opportunity
You will run a company truck, serving our long standing customers, reporting directly to the Service Manager. This is an hourly position, with opportunities to increase compensation through service contract commissions and overtime. If you are driven and entrepreneurial you have the opportunity for substantial growth alongside the company.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems and light commercial RTUs.
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure systems meet quality standards.
- Communicate directly with customers in a way that builds trust and long‐term relationships.
- Train, coach, and mentor newer technicians as our team grows.
- Work closely with our leadership team—your opinions and ideas are valued here.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands‐on HVAC service experience.
- EPA certification and strong knowledge of residential systems; light commercial RTU experience is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial mindset, seeking to grow personally and professionally
- A proven record of reliability, problem‐solving, and customer service.
- Someone who thrives in a supportive team environment with direct communication.
- A natural leader who enjoys helping others grow.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
