Blue Planet Plumbing is a residential plumbing company based in Asheville, NC, with a strong reputation for honest, responsive service. We take care of our customers and our team - and we're growing. In 2026, we are expanding into HVAC services and opening a second location in Travelers Rest, SC.

Because of this fortunate opportunity to expand, we're now hiring HVAC Technicians to join this new HVAC division. If you're an experienced HVAC Service Technician with strong customer service skills, some light sales experience and are tired of working for a large company where you're just a number (you want to be part of building something!), this is your opportunity!

The Role:

In the field/hands‑on: driving a company vehicle and running residential HVAC service calls on your own, diagnosing systems, performing installs and maintenance, and selling repairs, replacements, and maintenance agreements.

What You’ll Do:

Service & Technical

• Diagnose and repair heat pumps, gas furnaces, central AC, and mini‑splits
• Perform installs, replacements, and seasonal tune‑ups
• Ensure work meets NC mechanical code
• Maintain clean, professional job sites and vehicles

Sales & Customer Experience

• Present repair vs. replacement options clearly and honestly
• Sell maintenance agreements and follow up on open estimates
• Educate customers and represent the company professionally

Must Have Skills/Requirements:

• HVAC licensing preferred, not required (NC HVAC Contractor license, EPA 608 Universal certification, or willing/able to obtain it in a short timeframe)
• 2 or more years of residential HVAC service experience
• Prior experience in sales (or prior sales training is acceptable)
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, clean background check

Strong Advantages:

• Familiarity with flat-rate pricing and service software
• Ability to run calls independently
