Clayton Services is searching for an HVAC Quality Control Specialist to join a thriving company in North Houston. The HVAC Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring HVAC equipment projects meet quality standards, reviewing documentation,and conducting audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire Pay Rate: $23.00-$26.00/hour Benefits: Excellent benefits available after the successful completion of the temporary period, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.

HVAC Quality Control Specialist Responsibilities:

• Review HVAC project documentation including drawings, specifications, scopes of work, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure designs and installations comply with company standards, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality audits on production processes and active jobs
• Conduct in-person and virtual walkthroughs to verify work in progress and identify quality or safety concerns
• Participate in meetings with internal teams and vendors to resolve quality issues and track corrective actions
• Maintain organized records including audit reports, checklists, and quality documentation
• Identify and escalate non-conformances and coordinate corrective action plans with project teams
• Provide feedback and coaching to production and field staff on quality expectations and best practices
• Assist with internal and external audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

HVAC Quality Control Specialist Skills and Abilities:

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment
• Ability to use hand and power tools as needed
• Technologically proficient and able to learn new systems quickly
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and vendors

HVAC Quality Control Specialist Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a quality control or quality assurance role required
• HVAC or technical training, certification, or apprenticeship preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred
