About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer / HVAC Designer to join a growing engineering team. This individual will play a key role in supporting projects from initial proposal through final engineered design, collaborating closely with Project Managers, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with HVAC design experience who enjoys working on a variety of projects and contributing throughout the entire design process.

Responsibilities
  • Perform site surveys and gather field data for mechanical system design.
  • Prepare HVAC design drawings and construction documents.
  • Complete HVAC load calculations and Title 24 energy compliance calculations.
  • Design ductwork systems and develop equipment layouts.
  • Create control diagrams and assist with mechanical system design development.
  • Prepare product specifications and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate designs with Architects, Structural, Civil, and Electrical Engineers.
  • Support Project Managers throughout the design and construction process.
  • Respond to RFIs, submittals, and other construction administration requests.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of construction documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in organizing project deliverables and maintaining project schedules.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience with HVAC system design and construction documents.
  • Knowledge of Title 24 energy requirements and load calculations.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
  • Strong understanding of ductwork design and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
