Job Summary and Qualifications Position Summary:Maintains all types of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical controls used on Plant Operations/Maintenance equipment including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration units, constant pressure regulators for steam, gas, water, air, etc. Maintains regulator, generators and electrical distribution systems, including the emergency generators and standby systems. Maintains proper documentation of all tests, repairs and inspections including work performed by outside contractors. Performs the day-to-day activities of the electrical, refrigeration, plumbing/welding, electro-mechanical, casualty and maintenance mechanic areas through the distribution of work requests, providing expertise and monitoring work progress. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and systems/services on an on-going basis.Job Responsibilities:Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.Performs the day-to-day maintenance activities of the HVAC systems and equipment, refrigeration equipment and electromechanical areas through the processing of work requests, providing expertise and monitoring work progress of DDC controls and Building Automation System.Maintains pneumatic, temperature controls, DDC controls, Building Automation System (Siemens), hydraulic and electrical controls used on equipment.Reads and interprets blueprints, technical manuals and schematics and maintains proper manufacturers' specifications.Inspects, calibrates and repairs pneumatic temperature controls, regulators, control circuits, DDC control devices and Building Automation System.Tests, troubleshoots and repairs HVAC systems, pump and piping systems, electrical/electronic/pneumatic temperature control systems and the electrical distribution systems.Performs preventive maintenance on a regular schedule.Maintains and reviews a library of all blueprints, schematics and manufacturers' manuals on equipment and national, state and local codes to ensure compliance.Works closely with agents from regulatory agencies and contractors to ensure compliance with codes and standards.Properly handling and processing hazardous chemicals and waste as needed.Maintains corrective and preventive records and documentations.Meets the requirements of the on-call rotation schedule for building and ground coverage during after hours, holiday and weekends.Performs all other duties as assigned.Required Registration, Licensure or Certification:Valid State of Kansas Driver's License with no stipulations and be insurable to operate the company vehiclePreferred Registration, Licensure or Certification:EPA 608 Universal CertificationRequired Education or Experience:Vocational school graduate or relevant experiencePreferred Education or Experience:Several years of experience of technical maintenance in the areas of HVAC, hydraulic and electrical control systems and pumps and piping systemsRequired Knowledge and Skills:Demonstrates effective communication skillsKnowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, material safety data sheets and infection control proceduresDemonstrates knowledge of technical maintenance problems in the areas of HVAC, hydraulic and electrical control systems and pumps and piping systemsPrevious experience reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings What qualifications you will need:(DL) Driver LicenseBenefits Wesley Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
