Johnson Service Group is seeking an HVAC Lab Technician to support the testing, evaluation, and development of HVAC systems in a laboratory environment. This role involves hands-on work with equipment, performance testing, and collaboration with engineers to validate product performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, modify, and test HVAC units and components
Fabricate and assemble test apparatus for product development
Perform performance testing in accordance with ASHRAE and UL standards
Troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation issues
Calibrate and maintain test equipment
Accurately document and report test data using MS Office tools
Support engineers with test procedures and results

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of HVAC experience
EPA 608 Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate degree in a technical field
Experience with electrical wiring (3-phase a plus)
Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC components
Brazing experience
Familiarity with pressurized gases
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
Strong communication, safety awareness, and multitasking skills
