Coastal Home Services is looking for a self-motivated HVAC Install Manager with a positive attitude to join our growing and dedicated HVAC Team. The HVAC Installation Manager leads the installation department by driving performance, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. This role oversees installation technicians, manages daily scheduling, ensures safety and code compliance, and partners with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience. The manager is responsible for coaching, developing, and evaluating team members while maintaining a positive, high‑performance culture.

What you will DO:

 

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead the installation team to achieve departmental goals, including revenue targets and productivity expectations.
  • Ensure new team members are properly oriented to company standards, expectations, and culture.
  • Assess technician competency and provide ongoing coaching, training, and professional development.
  • Set clear work standards and behavioral expectations to maintain morale, accountability, and performance.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and follow up to ensure successful completion of tasks.
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and a positive work environment aligned with company values.
  • Provide consistent feedback, encouragement, and support to installation technicians.

 

Planning, Scheduling & Coordination

  • Oversee daily assignment of technician schedules and ensure proper staffing for workload demands.
  • Translate installation requirements into prioritized plans, tasks, and technician assignments.
  • Identify deficiencies in planning, scheduling, or communication and implement corrective actions.
  • Adjust schedules and workflows as needed to meet customer needs and resolve jobsite challenges.
  • Partner with service, dispatch, warehouse, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate job execution.
  • Plan, forecast, and coordinate installation projects while communicating clear goals and expectations.

Quality Control, Safety & Compliance

  • Perform quality and safety inspections on new installations to ensure adherence to company standards and local codes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation or start‑up issues, providing technical support to technicians as needed.
  • Monitor trends involving callbacks, workmanship issues, and service opportunities; take corrective action.
  • Ensure safety topics are incorporated into coaching sessions, meetings, and training.
  • Participate in incident investigations and reviews to improve safety and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure all installations meet quality workmanship standards and customer expectations.

Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution

  • Maintain a strong record of customer satisfaction through quality work and effective communication.
  • Follow up on escalated customer complaints or disputes, ensuring long‑term resolution.
  • Provide daily updates and feedback to leadership regarding customer issues, technician performance, and job progress.

 

Administrative & Performance Management

  • Report on workforce productivity, job progress, and revenue generation.
  • Evaluate technician performance and recommend promotions, corrective actions, or transfers when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to installations, inspections, and technician performance.

 

What you NEED:

• At least 8 years of residential HVAC installation experience with diagnostic troubleshooting and repair service, including air conditioning & heating systems.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role in the HVAC trade.
• Must have the ability to train others and lead a team.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in any weather conditions.
• Physical Dexterity must occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds or more averaging 4 times a week.
• Must have valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check and MVR.

 

 

Compensation: $70-$80k + annual bonus

Posted Min Pay Rate: USD $70,000.00/Yr. Posted Max Pay Rate: USD $80,000.00/Yr.
