Job Title: HVAC Filter Worker
Exemption Status: Nonexempt At-Will Reports to: Director of Maintenance Pay Grade: H3 Dept.: School MOST Calendar Days: 226 Primary Purpose: Perform maintenance and repair of the districts air conditioning and heating filters. This includes all air handlers and air distribution systems.
Qualifications: Education: Certification: Clear and valid Texas drivers license Acceptable driving record High School diploma or GED from a state accredited high school or educational program
Special Knowledge: Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical Must be able to climb roof tops, carry HVAC equipment, and ladders Ability to communicate effectively verbally Ability to operate hand and power tools Ability to work independently Ability to complete basic HVAC purchase orders
Experience: Two years experience working with air conditioning and heating systems preferred

Environment: Work outside and inside on slippery or uneven walking surfaces Frequent exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures Dust, toxic chemicals, and materials Noise, vibration, and electrical hazards Work around machinery with moving parts May work alone regularly Work irregular hours Occasional prolonged hours Frequent districtwide travel
