Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Delivery Driver to support a busy HVAC wholesaler and sheet metal fabrication operation in Sacramento, CA. This full-time, long-term role centers on safe, accurate local deliveries using an automatic box truck.
A day in your route
At 7:00 AM, you’ll check in with dispatch, review your manifests, and walk your truck for a quick safety and cleanliness inspection. You’ll help the warehouse team load HVAC materials and sheet metal products securely, verify paperwork, and map an efficient sequence for your stops. On the road, you’ll manage tight docks and jobsite conditions with care, confirm deliveries with customers, and reconcile documentation before heading to the next site. By mid-afternoon, you’ll return, unload returns or cores, tidy the vehicle, and debrief with the team—wrapping up around 4:00 PM.
What you’ll handle
- Operate an automatic box truck for local deliveries in and around Sacramento
- Load, secure, and unload HVAC materials and sheet metal products safely
- Verify orders and maintain precise delivery documentation
- Keep the vehicle clean and complete basic upkeep checks
- Coordinate closely with warehouse staff and dispatch to hit timelines
- Follow all safety procedures when handling materials and equipment
What you bring
- At least 7 years of box-truck driving experience (required)
- Valid Class C license with a clean driving record (no points)
- Class A is a strong plus; ability to operate a manual transmission if applicable
- Ability to lift, load, and unload materials safely
- Sharp attention to detail for manifests and delivery records
- Ability to provide a current DMV printout
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-first mindset
Schedule & pay
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (no weekends)
- Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (DOE)
