Our company is looking for a dedicated HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. This role requires an extensive understanding of DDC controls, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, ensuring they are consistent with plans and specifications.
  • Inspect and test HVAC systems and their components (e.g., heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.) to evaluate condition, identify

necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air conditioning systems, including DDC controls.
  • Interpret blueprints and project plans for job-site implementation.
  • Ensure HVAC systems and procedures adhere to policies, standards, and laws.
  • Collaborate with project managers and construction crew to ensure HVAC systems are installed and functioning correctly.
  • Provide excellent service to meet client expectations.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, and inspection checklists.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC control systems.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of HVAC systems, installation and repair, and comprehensive understanding of DDC controls.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • EPA certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in mechanical engineering is a plus.
