Humanities Instructional Coach, Middle School

Who Are We? Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is a highly successful urban PK-12 public school located in Somerville and Cambridge. We enroll over 900 students from cities and towns throughout the greater Boston metro area. Prospect Hill Academy Middle School is seeking a passionate, collaborative, and skilled Part-Time Humanities instructional coach for grades 6-8.

What does a Humanities Instructional Coach at Prospect Hill do?

• Instructional coaching and support for Humanities teachers
• Support for implementation and development of Humanities curricula, in collaboration with teachers and district-wide curriculum leaders
• Planning and facilitation of co-planning and data meetings
• Participation on the Middle School Instructional Leadership Team

• Examining and challenging personal biases and systemic inequities in pursuit of anti-racist teaching, curricula, and culture

What Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences are needed for this role?

• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
• MA Licensure in relevant field preferred, or working towards completion of licensure
• Understanding and familiarity with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
• Commitment to Prospect Hill Academy's educational mission and values
• Commitment to and experience working with students from diverse backgrounds with diverse profiles
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a dedicated staff and involved parent body
• Strong organizational and communication skills
