POSITION SUMMARY:
Working under general supervision and with moderate technical diï¬culty, this position performs operational human resources functions in recruitment, onboarding, personnel administration, HRIS data management, compliance tracking, and employee support. The position ensures that HR transactions are accurate, timely, compliant with NACOG Personnel Rules, and aligned with federal, state, and grant regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment & Hiring Operations
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and education, VOE and reference veriï¬cation
- Maintain and monitor applicant tracking systems to ensure data integrity, recruitment documentation is compliant and audit-ready
- Prepare interview materials, evaluation matrices, and hiring documentation
- Support employment oï¬er preparation and onboarding transition
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with federal, state, grant, and agency regulations
Onboarding & Personnel Administration
- Administer new hire documentation workï¬ows, including I-9 processing, background checks, ï¬ngerprint clearance, and payroll setup
- Monitor completion of onboarding tasks and compliance requirements
- Maintain digital and physical personnel ï¬les in accordance with retention schedules
- Process personnel action forms and ensure timely HRIS updates
HRIS & Data Management
- Enter and audit personnel data in HRIS
- Generate standard HR reports and assist with compliance tracking
- Maintain training records and certiï¬cation documentation
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits
Beneï¬ts & Leave Support
- Provide ï¬rst-level response to employee inquiries regarding beneï¬ts and leave
- Support enrollment processes and life-event changes
- Track documentation for leave programs as directed
Administrative & Program Support
- Assist with job description updates and formatting
- Support the development and coordination of training programs
- Process exit paperwork and maintain separation documentation
- Coordinate HR communications and workï¬ow documentation
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business, or a related ï¬eld, and two years of progressive Human Resources experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
