SUMMARY:

The School District of Waukesha is looking for a talented individual who is extremely detail oriented and has a high level of understanding of HRIS systems to join our Human Resources team! This position works closely with our Payroll department for accurate absence management reporting and builds ad hoc reports for internal use in HR and for other district departments. Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Manages Absence Management system in Skyward (SDW's HR information system).
  • Works closely with Payroll to ensure accuracy each pay period.
  • Maintain confidential employee records and handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality, discretion, professionalism, and accuracy.
  • Assist in New Hire onboarding and processing to ensure completion of required documents in WorkBright.
  • Database entry of all support staff (and professional staff as needed) into Skyward.
  • Follow up with new staff as needed.
  • Within the HRIS (Skyward) system, ensures accurate data entry; manages the position control function; ensures data integrity.
  • Analyzes and evaluates HRIS operational issues; troubleshoots and resolves problems; analyzes future HRIS needs; and participates in the development of modifications or enhancements to the system.
  • Uses the HRIS system and substitute system to manage time off and substitute tracking, development and update of the organizational charts.
  • Acts as liaison to HRIS users; develops complex and comprehensive standard and ad-hoc database reports for internal and departmental use.
  • Willingness to be cross trained and to serve as a backup to co-workers in the HR department.
  • Works with the Teaching & Learning department with Summer School Staffing support and assists with organization of employee recognition events.
  • Assists with all State, Federal and local reporting requirements, DPI reporting (e.g., WISEStaff, Highly Qualified), and EEOC reporting.
  • Manages year end transition and data cleanup for new fiscal year to include updating of salary matrixes, calendars, assignment rollover and pay record dates.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with employees, departments, and the public.
  • A high level of customer service and confidentiality is required in this position.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
