The Human Resources Representative is responsible for supporting talent acquisition efforts across Morongo Casino Resort & Spa while providing administrative, HRIS, and clerical support to the Human Resources Department. This role plays a key part in sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates, maintaining accurate employee records, and ensuring the timely processing of personnel transactions. The Human Resources Representative builds strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensures recruitment and HR processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with the resort’s staffing needs and service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a trusted Human Resources partner, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Manages full-cycle recruitment activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate communication, onboarding, and hiring event participation.
- Partners with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and coordinate recruitment efforts to ensure timely hiring.
- Coordinates pre-employment requirements, including background investigations, drug testing, licensing, and onboarding documentation.
- Processes and maintains employee information within the HRIS, including new hires, transfers, status changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Maintains personnel files and electronic records by scanning, indexing, and organizing documentation in accordance with company policies and record retention requirements.
- Audits employee records and HR data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department, including data entry, filing, document preparation, record maintenance, and report generation.
- Responds to team member, applicant, and management inquiries regarding recruitment, HR processes, policies, and procedures while maintaining confidentiality.
- Provides front desk coverage as needed by greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, directing inquiries, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Assists with scheduling interviews, orientations, meetings, training sessions, and other Human Resources activities.
- Supports HRIS updates, system testing, process improvements, and special projects to enhance departmental efficiency and data integrity.
- Remains informed of employment laws, regulations, and Human Resources best practices to support compliance and organizational objectives.
- Collaborates with Human Resources team members and other departments to promote a positive and service-oriented work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance and support to team members and hiring managers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information.
- Experienced in the use of ATS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Effective communication and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Displays initiative, adaptability, and works well independently or as part of a collaborative team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office environment, recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related administrative role.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms (UKG Pro or similar) strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume recruitment in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience supporting recruitment for a hospitality, gaming, or resort environment is a plus.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to read and interpret documents in English, such as instructions, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Must also be able to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, management, and guests.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.
WORKING HOURS:
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs and may include overtime, as well as work on both weekdays and weekends.
