**This position is based in Sacramento, CA and eligible candidates must be able to commute to our office a minimum of 3 days per week**
The Project Manager, Office of the Chief of Staff (CoS PM) is accountable for driving the execution of high-priority, cross-functional initiatives sponsored by executive leadership. This role converts strategic direction into disciplined execution by enforcing timelines, dependencies, decision-making, and follow-through across teams.
In this role you will partner closely with the Chief of Staff to manage a portfolio of strategic and operational initiatives that span functions (Operations, Product, Sales, Finance, Facilities, etc.). You will not own functional teams, but own project rigor — planning, tracking, escalation, and delivery.
The CoS PM is also responsible for maintaining visibility into initiative health, identifying risks early, driving accountability, and ensuring leadership decisions translate into measurable outcomes.
Manage end-to-end execution of executive-sponsored projects from kickoff through completion.
Translate strategic priorities into clear scopes, milestones, owners, and success metrics.
Maintain integrated project plans, decision logs, and dependency tracking.
Shepherds New Product Introductions (NPI) to ensure the right teams are following the company process and engaged at meetings to ensure appropriate hand-offs.
Track progress across multiple concurrent initiatives; surface risks, blockers, and trade-offs early.
Prepare concise executive updates (status, risks, asks, recommendations).
Ensure commitments made in leadership forums are tracked to closure.
Coordinate stakeholders across departments to align timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Drive resolution of cross-team dependencies without direct authority.
Escalate issues with context, options, and recommended paths forward.
Run project operating rhythms (weekly check-ins, milestone reviews, executive readouts).
Enforce standard work for project planning, documentation, and change control.
Ensure decisions, actions, and outcomes are clearly documented and communicated.
Identify patterns in execution breakdowns and recommend process or governance improvements.
Support the Chief of Staff in evolving lightweight project management frameworks that scale with the business.
