Primary Role
Reporting to the Head of HR, the Human Resources Operations Manager will help elevate our HR infrastructure amid rapid company growth. In this strategic and high-profile role, you will streamline HR processes, enhance the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, and manage our HR compliance program. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating a best-in-class employee experience, has a knack for improving systems and processes, keen attention to detail and thrives in an exciting fast-paced environment. They are a data-driven operations expert with deep knowledge of HR best practices, HR systems and platforms, and are excited to scale people operations in a growing organization.
What you'll do
HR Operations & Systems
- Champion, lead and optimize HR processes across the full employee lifecycle (onboarding ? offboarding)
- Manage HR systems (PEO/HRIS, ATS, LMS, payroll), ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance
- Proactively anticipate and conduct regular HR and payroll data audits and management reporting
Employee Lifecycle & Experience
- Lead onboarding, offboarding, and employee transitions for employees and contractors
- Create and deliver exceptional employee support while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Lead benefits selection and administration and other related health/welfare programs
Compliance, Data & Analytics
- Drive HR data management including compensation analysis, equity strategies, and demographic analysis
- Partner with Legal on facilitating visa and immigration processes
- Ensure compliant, accurate employee records
- Take the lead in auditing and delivering data requests working in tandem with Finance colleagues
Compensation, Performance & Development
- Create compensation equity reviews, coordinate a total compensation strategy, and advise on organizational changes
- Create new approaches for performance management and career development design
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, and Talent Acquisition to streamline HR operations
- Lead talent acquisitions strategies as needed, including assessment and interview coordination

Salary Range
$125,000- $150,000
- depending on qualifications and experience level
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree and 5-8+ years of progressive People/HR Operations experience
- Prior experience in a high-growth startup environment (required)
- Experience in Biotech and/or Life Sciences (a big plus)
- Proven ability to design and scale HR processes and systems across a distributed workforce
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
- Proficiency with HRIS, ATS, LMS, payroll systems, and modern collaboration tools
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience managing confidential information with integrity and discretion
- Working knowledge of multi-state and federal employment laws, with California expertise preferred
- Proactive, nimble, hands-on, and results-oriented mindset
- Comfortable supporting remote teams and collaborating cross-functionally
- Strong cultural contributor with a "we-before-me" approach and commitment to continuous learning
