Aria Residential was launched in 2017 to manage Aria Development Group’s growing portfolio of assets. Aria Development Group is a fully integrated real estate investment and development firm focusing on residential, hospitality, retail and mixed-use assets in New York, Washington DC, Miami, Kansas City, and Nashville. 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to grow with a lean group of elite real estate professionals. The Human ResourcesManager willreport directly to senior management. The candidate will play a critical role in building the company through the recruitment of talent and has the ability to grow the position, as the company grows.

 

The successful candidate will excel at the following core job responsibilities:

 

Talent Recruitment

 

Responsible for all phases of the recruitment process. The candidate will assist with strategic HR needs assessment and lead by example to ensure Aria Development Group and Aria Residential team members are qualified, onboarded, and satisfied with their ability to successfully integrate within the company, able to meet the company’s business goals for which they were hired.

 

As a growth position, the right candidate has the ability to incorporate into the HR function, and perform in the needed areas of Training, Employee Culture, Compensation / Benefit Strategies and Compliance, as the company needs and priorities evolve. The first and most urgent need is in the area of developing the company pipeline, and recruiting with attrition.

 

  1. Organize and implement the recruitment process to include assessing resumes, pre-screen and screening candidates, interviewing, drug and background checks and assisting managers and executive team members with recommendations and recruiting pipeline for both property management and development offices. Maintain and convey the standard of excellence in the recruiting process, to attract those interested in top-tier performance.
  2. Building and proactively nurturing the talent pipeline across the roles through ongoing engagement, relationship building and strategic outreach.
  3. Represent the company at job fairs, industry events and networking functions to attract top talent
  4. Protecting the Aria brand and setting the standard of excellence. Provide for coherent messaging and employee experience from recruitment through to the working environment.
  5. Update and maintain open position spreadsheet, internal and external postings, and distributions to company, to ensure internal opportunities for advancement and equal access to opportunities.
  6. Manage advertising staffing needs in media and Internet according to budget and allocate invoices.
  7. Analyze staffing patterns and make recommendations for improvement.
  8. Conduct all New Hire Orientations and set up new team member files with the appropriate documentation.
  9. Collect from candidates the required certification, compliance, notification, and administration of new hire documentation and compliance.
  10. Create and Promote an Employee Referral Program and submit requests for payment.
  11. Establish and internal Intranet of all new hires, articles, announcements, and promotions.
  12. Conduct all background inquiries to include credit, criminal and drug screening and oversee candidate reference checks.
  13. Develop, implement, and refine screening tools, interview questionnaires and competency assessments relevant to position descriptions.
  14. Perform other duties as required.

 

Minimum Training and Experience

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Advanced knowledge of employment regulatory compliance, benefits, training, and employment processes. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and in meeting deadlines. Expertise in business and personal correspondence. Excellent interpersonal and computer skills required including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Internet usage. Local travel required. 

 

Additional Desired Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in human resources, experience in property management, Professional Human Resource Certificate (PHR) and other industry certifications, preferred.

 

Prior property management experience is preferred, but not required. Ability to Comfortable in communicating with all levels of management and employees. Strong planning and organizational skills. Proven presentation and facilitation skills along with a positive, innovative approach to problem solving.

 

Machines/Equipment/Tools Used:

 

Computer and other office equipment, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Physical Requirements

Will occasionally life or move up to 20 pounds. Must be able to stand for periods of times to conduct training. Must be able to travel to property locations, job fairs and college recruiting location as required.
