Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position supports all day-to-day HR operations for a workforce of more than 250 employees. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
The Human Resources Manager will assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, compliance, training, benefits administration, workers' compensation, employee relations, and other HR functions. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting both employees and the organization. Below is a more detailed list of the duties and responsibilities for this position.
Responsibilities- Manage and oversee all day-to-day Human Resources operations.
- Lead the recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding process.
- Maintain accurate and organized employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Coordinate employee training, certifications, and compliance requirements.
- Administer employee benefits, leave requests, and workers' compensation claims.
- Support managers with employee relations, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary processes.
- Assist with investigations and resolve employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain staffing levels by supporting recruitment efforts and monitoring workforce needs.
- Organize and manage HR documentation, reporting, and record retention.
- Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
- Develop and implement HR processes that improve efficiency, organization, and consistency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees by responding promptly to questions and requests.
- Support leadership with HR initiatives, special projects, and organizational goals.
Qualifications- Ideally, 3+ years of experience as a Human Resources Manager, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Computer literacy
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification is preferred but not required.
