HR Generalist (Temp-to-Hire)
We are seeking a dynamic and people-focused HR Generalist to support programs that serve children, families, and school-based environments.
This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys balancing recruiting, employee relations, and HR operations in a collaborative, mission-driven, and non-corporate setting.
What You'll Do
This is a true generalist role with a 50/50 split:
Recruiting, Onboarding & HR Operations
- Lead full-cycle recruiting (a top priority)
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire experience
- Manage HR administrative processes and systems
- Partner with hiring managers across multiple locations
Employee Relations
- Support employee questions and workplace concerns
- Partner with leadership to resolve HR matters
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and people-first culture
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of recruiting experience
- Strong organization and multitasking skills
- Tech-savvy (experience with HRIS systems preferred)
- Ability to balance administrative and employee-facing work
- Strong knowledge of California employment law
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom preferred/a plus)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel
- Comfortable working in environments connected to schools and youth programs
- Friendly, approachable, and easygoing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Adaptable and collaborative

- Nonprofit experience
- School district or education-related background
