About Our Client

Our client is a multi-branch distributor of electrical products and solutions, operating across several branch locations. The organization is investing in a technology-forward HR function, leveraging AI and automation to support consistent, high-quality hiring and HR operations.


Compensation: The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $95,000 + 10% bonus / Annually.


HR Generalist

This role owns full-cycle recruiting and contributes to compensation planning, performance management, and employee engagement across the organization. Success in this role means qualified talent hired and onboarded efficiently, standardized HR processes in place, and a positive, engaged workplace culture supported by strong data and technology practices.


As an HR Generalist, you will:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned positions across the organization, partnering with hiring managers to define hiring strategies, recruiting plans, and role requirements
  • Build strategic sourcing plans to attract active and passive candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, networking, and other recruiting channels
  • Guide candidates through the hiring process, screening, interviewing, and coordinating each stage, including travel to branch locations for interviews, hiring events, and career fairs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, facilitating intake meetings, sharing labor market data, and coaching interview teams on structured interview practices and selection decisions
  • Support compensation planning, including market research and benchmarking, pay recommendations for new hires and promotions, and participation in annual merit, bonus, and pay equity reviews
  • Support performance management and employee relations, applying knowledge of performance practices and employment law, and guiding managers through employee communications, coaching conversations, and documentation
  • Partner with Learning & Development to shape onboarding, training, and career development programs based on candidate and new-hire insights
  • Support talent programs, including employer branding, employee referral and early talent programs, internships, and recruiting events
  • Drive process improvement and analytics, serving as a super user for the organization's ATS and HRIS platforms, building SOPs, and tracking recruiting, compensation, performance, and engagement metrics into actionable dashboards and reports


As an HR Generalist, you have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Recruiting experience: 3-4 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including full-cycle recruiting and strategic sourcing
  • Systems experience: Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
  • Performance and engagement tools: Experience with performance management and engagement tools
  • Employment law knowledge: Strong knowledge of performance management practices and federal/state employment laws
  • Technology agility: Demonstrated ability to learn new technology quickly and apply it effectively in HR workflows
  • Analytical skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Communication and relationship-building: Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills


Preferred:

  • Exposure to compensation planning, market benchmarking, or HR analytics


Work Location: This position is onsite, five days a week, and requires that qualified talent be located in or near Mayfield, OH.

Travel Requirements: Regular travel to branch locations to support interviews, hiring events, and career fairs.

Placement Type: Direct Hire

Estimated Schedule: Full-time; flexible start between 7:30 am - 9:00 am
