Overview:

Serves as a member of the Human Resources Benefits team by providing valuable information, problem solving and service to employees, managers and external customers. Provides great customer service at all times at the front desk in Human Resources. Duties include assisting all customers that come into the office and answering the Human Resources main phone line. Assistance includes problem solving, answering questions and counseling with and advising employees on all aspects of Benefits, employment, disciplinary actions and grievances, and general HR and hospital questions.

Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required Education

GED or high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience in a Human Resources Department or a customer service position. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but not required

 

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years Human Resources or customer service experience.
Public speaking, business writing and event planning experience preferred. Comparable education and experience will be considered.

 

Additional Skills/Abilities

Must be able and willing to work in a stressful, fast paced environment. Must be creative and very detailed with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and managers regarding sensitive and often complicated issues. Excellent oral presentation skills required. Must be able to set priorities, coordinate and organize multiple tasks and maintain control of large workflow. Must be able to plan events, write articles, and create detailed communication materials. Must be proficient in routine mathematical computations and analyses. The ability to read, comprehend and prepare moderately complex written material, such as government regulations or policies and procedures is required.  Must be able to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment. Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, word processing, data entry, spreadsheet software, Power point, and e-mail.
