Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist is a hands-on, employee-facing role responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations, with a primary focus on benefits administration, employee inquiries, and performance management coordination. This position serves as the first point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring timely support, clear communication, and consistent application of HR policies. The role partners closely with HRIS and Payroll, while maintaining a strong focus on employee experience rather than system configuration or data management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions related to benefits, HR policies, and workplace concerns
  • Support benefits administration processes including new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and open enrollment
  • Communicate benefit programs, changes, and deadlines to employees and assist with issue resolution
  • Coordinate with brokers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve escalated benefits-related matters
  • Assist in onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth and consistent employee experience
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on routine employee relations matters, escalating as appropriate
  • Support performance management processes, including tracking review cycles, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Ensure timely and consistent completion of performance evaluations across the organization
  • Partner with HRIS and Payroll to submit and validate employee changes such as status updates, compensation changes, and terminations
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance activities by gathering and verifying required documentation
  • Support HR projects, process improvements, and day-to-day operational needs
  • Reinforce consistent application of company policies and procedures across departments

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of Human Resources experience, including benefits administration, employee inquiries, and performance management support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Sound judgment with the ability to appropriately escalate complex issues
  • Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems in a collaborative capacity (Paylocity preferred)

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Experience in a multi-site or operational environment
  • a PHR or PHR preferred

Compensation

  • Salary range: $65,000 – $70,000, based on experience
  • Eligible for company benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the US (sponsorship N/A)
