Overview

The HR Generalist 2 coordinates and administers a variety of programs covering multiple HR activities. With direct supervision by HR Management or Senior HR professionals, will provide operational support and assist to coordinate or administer various aspects of the organization's on-boarding program and special projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with HR leadership to determine project scope and direction\u2022 Collect and input data into HR systems\u2022 Report on project status to stakeholders\u2022 Complete employment offers and work closely with new employees through the orientation and on-boarding process\u2022 Handle employment-related inquiries from candidates and employees, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR partner.\u2022 Handle confidential information with utmost integrity\u2022 Collaborate with HR partners at different Cook companies\u2022 Maintain a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures\u2022 Develop and implement solutions to improve department effectiveness and efficiency\u2022 Process reports and maintain records as needed\u2022 Schedule and facilitate meetings/trainings\u2022 Trains and mentors other HR Generalists as required\u2022 Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • May have advanced knowledge in a specialized area of Human Resources\u2022 May have a significant focus on recruiting efforts\u2022 May collaborate with leadership to understand the qualifications and competencies required for open positions\u2022 Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practice\u2022 Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization\u2022 Must strictly adhere to safety requirements\u2022 Maintain regular and punctual attendance\u2022 Must maintain company quality and quantity standards\u2022 Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills\u2022 Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision \u2022 Ability to remain calm, professional and receptive in fast paced situations\u2022 Must have excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required\u2022 Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred\u2022 2 - 5 years minimum relevant experience \u2022 PHR or SHRM-CP preferred\u2022 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (ie Excel, Power Point and Word)\u2022 Project management experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\u2022 Experience performing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction/supervision\u2022 Strong analytical and problem solving skills\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • General office environment\u2022 Sitting for extended periods\u2022 Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.\u2022 Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs

Some overnight travel may be required

Cook currently projects the base salary for this position could range from $67,000 to $80,000 and the actual pay will depend on a variety of factors including the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and the required location for this role. In addition, this role will be eligible for an additional variable bonus opportunity based on company and/or individual performance. The compensation range described above is always subject to change and could be higher or lower depending on the particular candidate. Finally, in its sole discretion, Cook reserves the right to amend modify or terminate any compensation or benefit program at any time and Cook's compensation practices and guidelines will apply regarding the terms of promotion or transfer of existing Cook employees.
