JOB SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team, including recruiting, benefits, training, and employee records.
ONGOING COMPETENCIES (JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
- Serves as first point of contact for employees and/or leader related questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits and HR programs.
- Manages main HR phone line and main HR email groups to respond promptly to calls and inquiries before the end of the business day.
- Serves as a backup to payroll coordinator by ensuring payroll is completed accurately and timely.
- Supports benefit coordinator with benefit questions, enrollment opportunities, benefit changes and benefit communications on an ongoing basis. Communicates with benefit vendors as needed.
- Assists in preparation of new employee orientation and serves as backup facilitator as needed.
- Maintains personnel files to support audit readiness and compliance with Joint Commission HR standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and state and federal regulations.
- Ensure employee records/systems contain all required and current documentation, including licenses, certifications, education, and background screenings. Monitors and tracks renewal dates to support employee and leader compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA requirements at all times.
- Supports and lives the mission, vision and values of BMH.
- Immediately escalate compliance risks or gaps to HR leadership.
- Occasional project work as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
