SALARY RANGE $48,527 - $62,269 ANNUALLY

Job Functions:
- Under the supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the HR Coordinator assists with the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Provides administrative support on a wide range of HR Policies, manage HR monthly billing, coordinating progress on HR strategic initiatives, and recordkeeping.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of administrative and general office practices.
- Must have working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and administration is highly preferred.
- Must be able to exercise discretion and use sound judgement in dealing with people and confidential information.
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, delegate, and meet deadlines.
- Must be understanding, empathetic and relatable.
Education, Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A post-secondary degree from an accredited college/university is preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in human resources or any combination of education, training and experience providing the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the essential job duties.
- Professional HR Certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, IPMA-HR CP, IPMA-HR SCP) preferred but not required
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to drive & hold a valid driver's license that must remain valid as condition of continued employment.
- Must be eligible and remain insured as a driver by the city's group liability policy.
- Must pass a Driver's License & background check and physical examination including drug screen.
