DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS: The Human Resources Coordinator is a journey-level classification performing technical and paraprofessional human resources work requiring a broader scope of independent judgment and cross-functional HR knowledge than the Human Resources Specialist. The classification is distinguished from the Human Resources Analyst by the absence of formal supervisory responsibility and the narrower scope of independent program administration. Incumbents are expected to exercise discretion and initiative within established guidelines across multiple HR program areas, with particular emphasis on training coordination and curriculum support.
