
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support
across human resources functions to ensure the efficient, compliant, and consistent operation of the HR
department. This role supports employees and management across the organization and serves as a key
point of contact for day-to-day HR processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Coordinate and execute new hire onboarding, including completion of employment paperwork
and accurate data entry into Paychex
Create, maintain, and audit active and inactive employee files, including personnel, medical, and
Workers’ Compensation records, in compliance with record retention requirements
Maintain I-9 documentation and EEO-1 Self-Identification Form records in accordance with
federal and state regulations
Process employee data changes in Paychex, including address updates, tax withholdings, and
employment status changes
Respond to and assist with internal and external HR-related inquiries in a professional and timely
manner
Build and maintain effective working relationships and clear communication with employees and
management across all departments
Support the recruitment process, including candidate screening, reference checks, interview
coordination, and participation in job fairs and recruiting events
Draft, update, and maintain job descriptions as organizational needs evolve
Track and maintain employee birthdays and work anniversaries in the shared Google calendar
Complete employment verification requests accurately and within required timelines
Prepare, complete, and submit required Employment Development Department (EDD) forms
Attend weekly managers’ meetings as needed to support HR initiatives and follow-up actions
Generate HR-related reports and metrics as assigned
Assist with wage and compensation analysis by participating in compensation surveys and data
collection
Maintain inventory of HR and office supplies and place orders as needed
Perform other related duties as assigned to support HR operations and organizational needs
ESSENTIAL WORK SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with
professionalism and discretion
Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills within established levels of authority
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual in Spanish to support effective communication with staff
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
One to two (1–2) years of experience in a human resources or administrative environment
Working knowledge of essential HR and payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to use repetitive hand and body motions on a regular basis such as grasping, writing,
typing, listening, hearing, and visual tasks
Ability to lift 25 pounds or more on an occasional basis and to bend, stoop, stretch, climb, and
squat as required to perform job duties
Ability to move safely across uneven terrain, including trails, as required to access different areas
of the property

The position also requires regular movement throughout the property, on foot or by vehicle, to provide in-
