ONGOING COMPETENCIES (JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

  • Provides administrative support to the Human Resources team, including recruiting, benefits, training, and records.
  • Serves as first point of contact for employees and/or leader related questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits and HR programs.
  • Manages main HR phone line and main HR email groups to respond promptly to calls and inquiries before the end of the business day.
  • Serves as a backup to payroll coordinator by ensuring payroll is completed accurately and timely.
  • Supports benefit coordinator with benefit questions, enrollment opportunities, benefit changes and benefit communications on an ongoing basis. Communicates with benefit vendors as needed.
  • Assists in preparation of new employee orientation and serves as backup facilitator as needed.
  • Maintains personnel files to support audit readiness and compliance with Joint Commission HR standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure employee records/systems contain all required and current documentation, including licenses, certifications, education, and background screenings. Monitors and tracks renewal dates to support employee and leader compliance.
  • Maintains confidentiality and complies with HIPAA requirements at all times.
  • Supports and lives the mission, vision and values of BMH.
  • Immediately escalate compliance risks or gaps to HR leadership.
  • Occasional project work as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
