Human Resources Business Partner (Temporary, Hybrid)

Location: Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA

Schedule: Hybrid | Temporary Assignment

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team on a temporary basis in Kearny Mesa. This hybrid role will serve as a strategic partner to leaders and employees, providing guidance and support across a wide range of HR functions.

The HR Business Partner will collaborate with management to address employee relations matters, performance management, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and organizational development initiatives. This position will help drive employee engagement, ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and support various HR projects during a period of organizational growth and change.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with managers and employees to provide HR guidance and support

  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations

  • Advise leaders on performance management, coaching, and corrective action plans

  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices

  • Support workforce planning, organizational changes, and talent development initiatives

  • Collaborate with recruiting teams on hiring and onboarding efforts

  • Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to provide recommendations to leadership

  • Assist with employee engagement programs and retention strategies

  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HRIS-related activities

  • Participate in special HR projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience

  • Strong knowledge of California employment laws and HR compliance

  • Experience managing employee relations and conducting investigations

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to support multiple departments in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications

  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred

Assignment Details:

  • Ongoing contract role

  • Hybrid schedule with a combination of onsite and remote work

  • Located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego, CA

  • Compensation: $36.00-$43.00 per hour DOE

  • Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST
