What You'll Do:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) drives business results by aligning human resources strategies with operational goals in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution center. This role requires an exceptionally adaptable leader who utilizes data-driven insights and elite communication skills to resolve complex employee relations issues, build high-performing teams, and deliver impactful training.

 

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Serve as the primary expert on frontline and leadership employee relations issues.
  • Conduct objective, thorough investigations into high-risk complaints and policy violations.
  • De-escalate workplace conflicts using advanced interpersonal and mediation skills.
  • Maintain a highly visible, accessible, and trusted presence on the warehouse floor.
  • Ensure absolute compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Partner closely with the Site Leader and facility safety representative to strengthen safety culture, ensure OSHA and company compliance, and support continuous improvement in workplace safety performance.

 Training & Talent Development

  • Design, develop, and facilitate targeted training programs for frontline supervisors.
  • Coach warehouse managers on leadership capabilities, communication styles, and performance management.
  • Partner with site leadership on talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development to build a strong pipeline of future leaders across the distribution center.
  • Lead culture initiatives to build morale and foster a collaborative, safe facility environment.
  • Optimize onboarding programs to drive immediate team integration and frontline retention.
  • Drive retention initiatives by identifying turnover trends, improving employee engagement, and partnering with operations leadership to enhance the overall employee experience.

 Data Analytics & HR Technology

  • Utilize advanced Excel capabilities and HRIS platforms to audit and manage workforce data.
  • Manage employee records fluidly utilizing Workday and ADP systems.
  • Track operational metrics like turnover, absenteeism, and engagement trends.
  • Translate complex data into actionable talent insights for the operations leadership team.

 Operational Flexibility & Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with logistics leadership to manage organizational change, peak seasonal surges, and warehouse growth.
  • Enforce company policies objectively while remaining agile to evolving business demands.
  • Support a 24/7 operation by occasionally adjusting hours to engage with night or weekend shifts.
What We're Looking For:

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of HR/generalist experience. The successful candidate is a resilient, proactive problem-solver who thrives in an autonomous environment while remaining deeply collaborative. You must be comfortable balancing strategic HR planning with the gritty, fast-moving realities of supply chain operations.  Other qualifications include:

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience within a high-volume distribution, logistics, or manufacturing setting.
  • Deep functional knowledge of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and wage-and-hour regulations.

 Required Core Competencies

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills across diverse audiences, from frontline workers to executives.
  • Conflict Resolution: Proven mastery in investigation techniques, mediation, and risk mitigation.
  • Analytical Aptitude: Ability to manipulate large datasets, identify workforce trends, and present findings visually.
  • Adaptability: Proven resilience and emotional intelligence in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual language skills (English/Spanish or relevant local demographic language).
  • Hands-on system administrator experience with Workday and ADP.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP).
