We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Human Resources Business Partner to join our thriving construction company. This is a permanent, full-time position that will play a crucial role in our HR team, supporting our mission to build a positive, productive, and engaged workforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, with a keen understanding of California Compliance and Federal Laws. They should be well-versed in employee retention strategies, training development, and fostering teamwork. Above all, we are looking for a professional who embodies integrity and commitment in everything they do.

Responsibilities:

As a Human Resources Business Partner, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Partnering with business leaders to understand their HR needs and providing strategic guidance and support.
2. Ensuring compliance with all California state and federal employment laws and regulations.
3. Developing and implementing effective employee retention strategies to minimize turnover and foster a positive work environment.
4. Providing training and development opportunities for employees to enhance their skills and career growth.
5. Collaborating with HR team members to develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
6. Managing complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
7. Providing guidance on compensation, benefits, and performance management systems.
8. Promoting a culture of teamwork, integrity, and commitment within the organization.
9. Regularly reporting on HR metrics to inform business decisions.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Human Resources Business Partner position, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management, preferably within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with California Compliance and federal employment laws.
3. Strong knowledge of HR practices and procedures, including employee retention strategies and training development.
4. Excellent teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of an organization.
5. High level of integrity and professional ethics.
6. Strong commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
9. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
