Position: Temporary Human Resources Assistant
Location: Chelmsford Public Schools Central Office
This is a temporary position to provide coverage for a leave of absence commencing in July. This opportunity is expected to last approximately 6-12 weeks and would be a great fit for someone looking to contribute their skills in a busy and supportive school district environment.
The position will assist with a variety of HR and clerical functions, including:
- Data entry in Aspen/X2, Excel, TeachPoint, and SchoolSpring
- Running reports in Munis
- Assisting walk-ins with general inquiries
- Supporting new hire and onboarding processes
- Maintaining records and documentation
- Providing general administrative and clerical support as needed
Position Type: Temporary - 33 hours per week through August 14, 2026; 37.5 hours/week as of August 17, 2026

Qualifications:
- Knowledge of school district structure, operations, and resources
- Experience with Aspen/X2, MUNIS, SchoolSpring, and TeachPoint
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, electronic calendars, google drive and databases
- Familiarity with HR functions such as attendance management, leaves of absence (FMLA), and benefits/COBRA administration
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
