Human Resources Assistant – Onsite

We are seeking a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. This position provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department while helping ensure employees receive timely assistance and support.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide support to the HR Director and HR Department with schedule, phone calls, meetings, etc.
  • Manage and maintain employee information and qualifications across the entire agency
  • Enter and update employee information in HR databases
  • Assist with employee clearances, background checks, and onboarding paperwork
  • Answer and direct incoming HR calls and questions professionally
  • Complete purchase orders, check requests, and expense reconciliations for the HR Department
  • Type all correspondence for the HR Director including meeting notes, contact letters, termination letters, and award nominations
  • Assist with job postings and pre-screening candidates
  • Assist with employee recognition programs, reports, and HR tracking logs
  • Track and maintain inventory and supplies for the HR Department
  • Employee file and orientation maintenance and management
  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in a timely manner
  • Assist in preparation for all audits
  • Support a positive and professional workplace environment
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Human Resources or related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Three years of experience in Human Resources or administrative experience preferred
  • Experience in healthcare, social services, or human services a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products as well as HR information systems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Ability to pass Act 33 & 34 criminal conviction clearances and all applicable background checks.
