Overview

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant, sometimes referred to as a Human Resources Coordinator (HR Coordinator). The HR Assistant in our hospital supports the Human Resources department by handling administrative and clerical tasks that help manage employee relations, staffing, and compliance to ensure smooth HR operations within the healthcare environment.

Shifts Available: Days (No Weekends or Holidays)

Employment Type: Full-time (In-Person)

Hours: 8-hour shift - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: St Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO

Responsibilities

If you have experience as an HR Rep or HR Generalist in a healthcare setting you are encouraged to apply!!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Assist with job postings scheduling interviews communicating with candidates maintaining applicant tracking systems and preparing new hire paperwork
  • Maintain and update employee files HR databases and confidential information while processing employment documentation such as contracts benefits and payroll forms
  • Coordinate new employee orientation sessions assist in onboarding and provide new hires with information about hospital policies benefits and compliance
  • Prepare HR reports correspondence and documentation assist with scheduling training sessions and tracking employee certifications
  • Support HR team in ensuring adherence to hospital policies labor laws and regulatory requirements and help coordinate employee engagement and wellness programs
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and HR questions while facilitating communication between HR hospital staff and management

Qualifications

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred; college degree desired
  • General office and/or Personnel related experience is required

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills required
  • Ability to excel in a faced paced environment

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

  • 1-2 Years of Healthcare experience preferred
