THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Behavioral Health & Recovery Services (BHRS) is seeking a detail-oriented and resourceful Human Resources Analyst (Confidential Assistant III) to support the department's HR operations within the Employee Relations function. This position plays a key role in supporting BHRS HR functions through coordination, tracking, and follow-through on assigned HR activities to ensure timely and accurate execution of departmentalpriorities.
The ideal candidate is a compliance-focused, detail-oriented professional who demonstrates strong initiative, accountability, and sound judgment. This position requires a key operational partner mindset, with the ability to anticipate the needs of HR Managers and other stakeholders, proactively identify follow-up actions, and ensure timely completion of assigned work with minimal direction.
Successful performance in this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including HR leadership, supervisors, and employees. The incumbent must be highly organized, adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and capable of always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
THE POSITION
Under general direction, the Human Resources Analyst (Confidential Assistant III) performs a variety of professional-level human resources duties in support of the Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Employee Relations function. This position serves as a key operational partner to HR Managers, functioning as a primary support resource to ensure timely follow-through, coordination, and execution of HR priorities across the division.
In this role, you will ensure assigned HR activities are carried out accurately and consistently in accordance with County policies, applicable labor agreements, and federal, state, and local employment laws. Responsibilities include coordinating labor-related activities, tracking and following up on assigned HR actions, and supporting leave administration, employee evaluation processes, and training compliance.
