Job Summary
TalentWise LLC is building a pipeline of human resources professionals to support anticipated government contract awards with Arlington County, VA.
The Human Resources Administrative Specialist provides administrative and technical support for a wide range of HR operations, including recruiting, onboarding, payroll, and personnel administration. This role serves as a liaison between departments and the Human Resources function, ensuring compliance with policies and efficient processing of HR activities.
The position plays a key role in maintaining accurate HR records, supporting workforce operations, and providing guidance to staff on HR processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruiting processes, including job postings, applicant tracking, and onboarding coordination
Prepare offer letters, onboarding materials, and new hire documentation
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including orientation and exit processes
Process and manage timekeeping and payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Audit time records, track leave usage, and resolve payroll discrepancies
Maintain personnel files and HR documentation in compliance with policies
Process employee status changes, including pay adjustments, reclassifications, and assignments
Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and timelines
Coordinate HR-related administrative activities such as benefits submissions and compliance forms
Generate reports and provide data to support HR operations and decision-making
Serve as liaison between department staff and central HR teams
Assist with departmental events and administrative initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
Some college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
Considerable experience in human resources administration or related field
Knowledge of HR processes, payroll, and administrative procedures
Experience with HR systems (e.g., NeoGov, PRISM, or similar platforms)
Strong organizational and data management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
