Job Purpose:
- The Human Resource Generalist at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER will play a key role in supporting the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. The HR Generalist will work closely with management and staff to foster a positive work environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure a fair and consistent approach.
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and keep abreast of changes in legislation that may affect HR practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives to support organizational goals and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Coordinate and facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Support the HR department in various projects and initiatives as needed.
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within a behavioral health or healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and HR policy implementation.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in using HR software.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
