Who is Contango Resources? An operating subsidiary of Crescent Energy with ~500 employees and ~50k boe/d with a production mix of ~40% oil, ~40% natural gas, and ~20% NGL's. Our primary operating footprint consists of assets in the Permian, Rockies, and Oklahoma. In addition to maximizing production and cash flow through existing stable (low decline) assets, Contango is also focused on a consolidation strategy to pursue PDP-heavy opportunities that offer attractive valuations from stressed or distressed situations.

We see a bright future optimizing late-in-life assets to produce hydrocarbons for US energy needs, and YOU could be a part of our team helping create value. We are seeking an HSE Specialist who will primarily support our Oklahoma assets and fields and will also contribute to advancing the HSE function across the organization.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Drive a "safety first" culture, ensuring compliance with (and commitment to!) all safety requirements. • Develop and lead safety programs and policies. • Provide safety training and awareness programs. • Lead monthly safety meetings. • Manage investigations and reports on incidents and accidents. • Maintain safety records and safety regulations.
Qualifications/Experience Were looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual who may not have extensive experience but is eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. The ideal candidate brings excitement, passion, and a genuine curiosity to develop their skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take ownership of their career through hands-on opportunities and continuous learning.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices relevant to the oil and gas industry. (Preferred, not required) Demonstrated success advancing HSE initiatives through proper planning, prioritization, sound judgement, appropriate influence, and execution. (Preferred, not required) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (reports, email, policies, practices, etc.), with the ability to interface effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
High school diploma required; additional educational qualifications are advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
