Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced HSE Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an exceptional opportunity for a safety-minded individual who has a passion for ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of a manufacturing environment. As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety regulations, conducting safety audits, and leading incident investigations. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong background in manufacturing safety and a knack for root cause analysis, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
2. Conducting regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Leading incident investigations, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
4. Conducting risk assessments and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
5. Training employees on safety regulations and practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
6. Ensuring all safety equipment and protective devices are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
7. Maintaining accurate records of safety-related incidents and compiling statistics for management review.
8. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of safety and compliance across the organization.
9. Staying informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in health, safety, and environment.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Specialist or a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
3. Solid knowledge of manufacturing safety, including LOTO procedures.
4. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis.
5. Experience in delivering safety training to diverse audiences.
6. A professional certification in Health and Safety, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), is highly desirable.
7. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
10. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
