This role is heavily focused on environmental compliance execution, field support, regulatory program ownership, incident investigations, and ensuring environmental controls are practical, sustainable, and audit-ready within active manufacturing operations.
The ideal candidate is not just policy-focused — they must be highly hands-on, visible in the field, and capable of partnering directly with operations, engineering, facilities, maintenance, utilities, and EHS leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain environmental compliance programs within a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling, storage, labeling, and container compliance programs
  • Support wastewater and stormwater environmental protection initiatives and monitoring programs
  • Assist with Title V air permitting activities, reporting, inspections, and documentation
  • Lead or support environmental incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and CAPA implementation
  • Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and field assessments throughout manufacturing and utilities areas
  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to implement practical environmental controls and sustainable compliance processes
  • Maintain environmental records, permits, procedures, and compliance documentation
  • Support regulatory inspections and interface directly with environmental agencies when required
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental performance and compliance readiness
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of environmental HSE experience within pharmaceutical, API, chemical, food, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge of EPA and state environmental compliance programs
  • Experience supporting:
    • Hazardous waste and container compliance
    • Wastewater and stormwater programs
    • Air permitting / Title V compliance
    • Environmental incident investigations and CAPAs
  • Experience translating environmental regulations into practical operational controls
  • Strong field presence and ability to work cross-functionally within active manufacturing operations
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions
  • Pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing industry experience
