Step into a Day in This Role

You begin by reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly HSE metrics and updating dashboards. You manage the HSE information systems that connect our sites to the corporate network, ensuring data integrity and visibility. Mid‑morning, you’re mapping an internal audit against ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, planning corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

After a walk‑through with operations leaders, you coach supervisors and team members on their safety and environmental responsibilities, facilitate a root‑cause session to eliminate recurring hazards, and chair a safety committee huddle to reinforce PPE expectations.

In the afternoon, you complete a risk assessment for a process change, lead an incident investigation, and drive corrective and preventive actions to closure. You coordinate an emergency drill, remain ready to respond on site, and later deliver contractor orientation and employee training. Before you log off, you submit timely reports to corporate and applicable authorities, reconcile inspection and training records, and review a workers’ compensation case with our approved medical partners. You wrap the day by advancing chemical/material approvals, optimizing recycling programs, and refining the annual HSE budget. Off‑shift support? You rotate as needed. Other duties arise—and you handle those, too.
