Job Summary The HSE Facilities Lead supports the Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day facility operations, maintenance activities, and contractor performance while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and compliant work environment through proactive risk management, inspections, training, and incident investigation. The position also plays a key role in managing facility budgets related to maintenance, repairs, and sustainability initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory adherence across the site. Key Responsibilities Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of HSE (Health, Safety & Environmental) policies, procedures, and management systems Conduct routine facility inspections and compliance audits in accordance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and applicable building codes Identify workplace hazards and perform risk assessments, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions Oversee facility operations including maintenance, infrastructure, utilities, HVAC systems, fire safety systems, and safety equipment Lead investigations of workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring adherence to safety standards, site protocols, and contractual requirements Support contract negotiations and performance management for facility-related services Deliver and coordinate HSE training programs, onboarding orientations, and ongoing employee safety education Assist in developing and executing emergency preparedness plans, including drills and response procedures Support facility budgeting efforts, including maintenance planning, repairs, and sustainability initiatives Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, incidents, training records, and compliance reports Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to continuously improve workplace safety and facility efficiency Required Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in facilities management and health & safety (HSE/EHS) within a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance standards, and building codes Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations Exposure to contractor/vendor management in a facility or plant environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with safety management or compliance tracking systems Key Skills & Competencies Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities High attention to detail with strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams Strong commitment to safety culture and continuous improvement Additional Information Role is site-based in a manufacturing environment May require occasional response to off-hours facility or safety incidents Opportunity to contribute to both operational efficiency and workplace safety performance
