Position Overview:

The ideal candidate will teach high school Social Studies, based on qualifications and district needs. This is a great opportunity for an educator who enjoys working in a small-school setting, where meaningful student-teacher connections and cross-curricular collaboration are key.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction in Social Studies for students in grades 9-12.

  • Develop students' critical reading, writing, discussion, and analytical skills.

  • Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, debate, and a love for learning.

  • Support student learning through differentiated instruction and individualized support.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that meets diverse learning needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.

  • Participate in school and community events, as well as extracurricular activities if desired.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in History, Education, or a related field.

  • Valid Wisconsin teaching license (or ability to obtain one).

  • Strong communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
