Sigma Inc. is seeking a highly organized and analytical HRIS Analyst & Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources Division Chief for the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC). This hybrid contract opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in HRIS systems, HR administration, reporting, SharePoint, and executive administrative support.

This role combines Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) analysis with senior-level administrative support, making it a great fit for candidates with strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

HRIS & Human Resources Support

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a performance management tool
  • Analyze HR metrics and resolve HR application/system issues
  • Generate HR reports, dashboards, and workforce analytics
  • Maintain secure employee records, attendance data, and personnel files
  • Conduct HR process audits including:
    • Hiring documentation
    • Terminations
    • Exit interviews
    • Payroll support
    • HRCMS reporting
  • Maintain and organize the HR SharePoint system
  • Update and manage organizational charts
  • Track diversity, employee turnover, and audit statistics
  • Identify HR trends, issues, and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and monthly HR events

Administrative Assistant Responsibilities

  • Provide executive administrative support to the Human Resources Division Chief
  • Manage calendars, appointments, emails, and scheduling
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence
  • Maintain filing systems and employee databases
  • Schedule meetings and conferences; take meeting notes as needed
  • Prepare onboarding and employment materials
  • Maintain employee benefit and compliance records
  • Support ethics and CORI training administration

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with HRIS systems and HR operations
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Experience with:
    • HR reporting and analytics
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • SharePoint
    • Spreadsheets and presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage confidential employee information
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in:
    • Human Resources Administration
    • HRIS Analysis
    • Payroll support
    • Performance management systems
  • Experience supporting senior leadership or executives
  • Knowledge of HRCMS reporting and HR compliance processes
