We're looking for a hands-on HR & Talent Manager who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments and genuinely enjoys the full breadth of the people function. This is not a purely strategic role — you'll roll up your sleeves and own execution across hiring, performance, onboarding, and culture.
You're organized, people-first, and not afraid to build processes from scratch. You understand that in a growing company, how we hire, how we welcome new team members, and how we hold each other accountable defines who we are.
What You'll Own
Hiring & Talent Acquisition
Partner with hiring managers to define roles, craft job descriptions, and build structured interview processes
Own the full-cycle recruiting pipeline — sourcing, screening, coordinating, and closing
Build and refine interview scorecards and consistent evaluation criteria across teams
Manage relationships with external recruiters and job platforms as needed
Onboarding
Design and continuously improve a repeatable, engaging new hire onboarding experience
Coordinate logistics across teams to ensure new employees ramp quickly and feel welcomed
Gather feedback to iterate and improve the onboarding program over time
Performance & Review Processes
Build and manage semi-annual or quarterly performance review cycles
Train managers on giving effective feedback and conducting productive reviews
Establish goal-setting frameworks (OKRs or equivalent) in partnership with leadership
Support managers in handling performance improvement plans when needed
Culture & Employee Experience
Champion a cohesive, values-aligned culture as the company scales
Run employee engagement surveys and translate results into action
Organize team rituals, recognition programs, and culture touchpoints
Serve as a trusted, neutral resource for employee concerns and conflict resolution
HR Operations
Maintain accurate employee records, compliance documentation, and HR systems
Manage benefits administration and open enrollment coordination
Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and employment regulations
Own the employee handbook and keep policies current
Requirements
3–6 years of HR management experience, ideally in a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced SMB environment
Demonstrated experience owning hiring processes end-to-end — not just supporting them
Track record building or improving HR programs from the ground up
Strong interpersonal skills — you're approachable, trustworthy, and direct
Comfort operating with ambiguity; you don't wait for a perfect playbook
Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
Familiarity with HRIS platforms, ATS tools, and basic compliance requirements
Nice to Have
Experience in healthcare, tech, or regulated industries
PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification
Experience supporting a remote or hybrid workforce
Comfort with data — using metrics to tell the story of your HR programs
