    Position Overview:
    • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
    • Our client is seeking a detail-oriented HR / Talent Acquisition I-9 Compliance Specialist to support a large-scale I-9 compliance initiative within the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition organization.
    • This role is responsible for reviewing, auditing, and remediating Form I-9 documentation to ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility regulations while supporting employee onboarding and HR compliance processes.

    • They have hands-on experience with I-9 processing and onboarding, are comfortable navigating HRIS systems, and can work independently while collaborating effectively with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and business stakeholders.
    • This role is best suited for someone looking to contribute to a high-impact compliance initiative in a collaborative corporate environment.

    Responsibilities:
    • Review, complete, and audit Form I-9 documentation to ensure compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements.
    • Verify employment authorization documentation and support E-Verify processes, when applicable.
    • Identify incomplete, deficient, expired, or non-compliant I-9 records and coordinate timely corrective actions.
    • Review employee records and onboarding documentation using HRIS systems such as Workday or similar platforms.
    • Support employee onboarding activities while ensuring all employment documentation is complete and compliant.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
    • Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and hiring managers to resolve employment documentation and compliance issues.
    • Track project progress, document findings, and maintain organized compliance records throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure all work is completed with a high degree of accuracy while meeting established deadlines.
    • Provide additional support for HR compliance and onboarding initiatives as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:
    • 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, HR Compliance, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Employee Onboarding, or Recruiting Coordination.
    • Proven experience completing, reviewing, and auditing Form I-9 documentation.
    • Experience identifying and correcting deficient, incomplete, or expired I-9 documentation.
    • Hands-on experience working within HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UKG, ADP, or similar HR platforms.
    • Experience supporting employee onboarding, HR compliance, or employee lifecycle processes.
    • Ability to maintain highly confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.
    • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to accurately review large volumes of documentation.
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
