AHI Supply is looking for an organized and dependable HR & Safety Assistant to support our Human Resources and Safety departments at our Alvin, TX headquarters. This role provides administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, payroll administration, employee records, training, workplace safety, and regulatory compliance. You'll work closely with the HR Manager and gain hands-on experience in both Human Resources and Safety.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
- Assist with payroll, attendance, and timekeeping administration.
- Track employee training, certifications, licenses, and required compliance records.
- Assist with DOT, OSHA, and workplace safety documentation.
- Support safety meetings, inspections, audits, and training programs.
- Assist with incident investigations and workers' compensation administration.
- Maintain HR and safety databases with a high degree of accuracy.
- Order safety supplies as needed.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
- Perform other administrative and project-related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous administrative or office experience required.
- Human Resources experience preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting safety, compliance, or operations is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to maintain confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
